Supporting Victims of Domestic Violence

Alpha Chi Omega National Mission Statement: To encourage our membership to provide support to victims of domestic violence through auspices of agencies providing services to victims and to assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and hands-on activities designed to eliminate domestic violence.

At Alpha Chi Omega’s 1992 National Convention, delegates voted to adopt the Support of Victims of Domestic Violence as a national altruistic project. We at Alpha Gamma Alpha are also committed to supporting victims of Domestic Violence in the following ways:

Annual Fundraisers — AGA donates each year to causes supporting victims of domestic violence via:

• Fundraising events – past events included Savor the South, Mercedes-Benz Experience, and more
• Collections for Shelters — Throughout the year, the AGA chapter collects toys, clothing, and other items to be donated to shelters for victims of domestic violence
• Membership Dues – a portion of dues goes to support the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation and local charities
